i used to work at Aaardvarks, this vintage store in Hermosa Beach, when i was like 16, i totally thought the people that worked there at that time were so cool, green mohawks, leather pants, patches on their denim jackets, facial piercings, and black lipstick. i went through this weird punk rock/rockabilly phase but it never came to full frution, partially because i wore a uniform to school and i coudn't give up girly things like fake eyelashes and glitter nail polish
this photographer, dana lauren goldstein, totally captures everything i wanted to be and look like at 16, her photography makes me want to bust out my ramones tees, throw on a denim vest with some pennywise pins, and find that perfect pair of leopard creepers
